Short Film by Vietnamese Young People

Its been a while since posting anything related to Vietnam. Here is a small film that was shot by the young people of the Blue Dragon Foundation last year when i was leading some workshops in Hanoi.
It shows the hectic nature of the roads around and along the famous Long Bien Bridge and highlights some of the amazing photographs the young people took themselves.

Pictures into the past

Some of you may know that i like to collect old pictures and postcards. Anything from cityscapes to people on holidays, apart from being amazing glimpses into the past i love their vintage aesthetic qualities. The detail is often very sharp, the tones well reproduced and the period details very revealing...below are a couple of examples i have picked up in Bulgaria, more to come..

Bulgarian Gypsy Wedding

I have been staying in a village by the Turkish border in South-west Bulgaria.
Yesterday i was lucky to come across the wedding of my neighbours friends by the village square. Here is a small selection of my photos, i intend to put a little slideshow when i get back as i recorded some of the music being played.
There was a great energy driven partly by the fast rythms of the band who kept young and old dancing for many hours.
Back to London soon and new beginnings...

Seaside in Vung Tau

Having hired a motorbike today to explore something outside Vungtau which is still technically a city for all its sleepiness, i stumbled on a windy beach to my surprise. On my stroll I was happy to come across crab hunters, fishermen, lots of those spirally shells, a romantic couple and all manners of things natural. The sea is great i once again conclude, tomorrow more exploring i promise myself.
